Well, since I didn't have internet access, I did get a lot of work done
Today I am laying the pond liner base for the tanks. This will replace any Styrofoam that usually resides under them. The reason I am doing this is to save space, and have a waterproof "table cloth" so that spills and splatters won't have an adverse effect on the wood. The only drawback is air circulation. I am now having visions of mold under the liner between it and the melamine board that is the table.

Some of the trim has come off because I didn't use the same sealant (the shop was sold out), so I'll have to re seal it again. On a good note, with the stand and the tanks, it looks REALLY good. Although it is not 100% I am more than happy with the result.
Now, I have never done a leak test while the tanks are in place. It is something I'll have to consider. Moving them and the stand may prove more difficult than anticipated.
Once the initial leak test is done, we'll be plumbing it and finishing it. Then another leak test.

I was going to go with foam originally also because I get it for free, but cutting it to size became a chore and it white. A little difficult to paint just the edge of it.

I use plastic tape to cover the edges of the styrofoam or beadboard, Far easier than painting and less hassle and cost. I normally use either black or dark brown tape and it pretty much disappears in use. Most folks do not realize i use it constantly.
so, i thought of something... what about drilling a small like inch size hole in the middle of your stand (if its wooden), then, you can put something that absorbs water into it... or would it weaken the stand? it would be under the middle of the tank where its not really supported by the stand...

That's possible, but at the moment I'm going to leave it. A hole in the table of 1" won't really help circulate air under the pad for a 4 foot tank. It might also have the opposite effect and allow humidity to get in there from the tank below it.
Next up, plumbing and a leak test.

it is.. I haven't actually measured the height of it yet, but it is around 6 feet tall.

Thanks I'm not too keen on doing a leak test in the living room. I wish there was a way to roll it out, then roll it back in again. Given that it still has to be plumbed, it has to be tested while in place :/

My top tier of tanks is at 6'. That is not an issue for me at all. Several folks from a local club thought they were much too tall - until they watched me catching rainbow fry from one of them. Then they realized that the tanks were at ideal viewing and working height for me.
When planting or dividing plants, I do use a Kickstep or a lower stool, but for routine care and viewing they are like Baby Bear's porridge - just right for me! Tank heights are highly personal. One height does not fit all.
