El Scorp, be sure to brush those rocks well, before that WC & siphon out as much algae as you can.

Did you just use 1/2 and 3/4 planks ? Any 2x4s or 4x4s ? Looking to do my own 200 if I cant get 1 with a stand , Im just unsure about the weight! My 75g I doubled up 2x4 on the 4 corners!

3/4 planks and 4x6's...I bought the stand already built, but I wanted to changes some things. So I tore it apart and rebuilt it the way I liked. It wasn't hard, I glad I went with the 4x6's though....they fit nice.

Did 50% WC on the snail tank, added decor to the GSP tank, and did a 25% WC.

Busted up a ton of the terminator hair algae in the tank yesterday, but I stirred a bunch of it up and couldn't get to it all, so I was just gonna let it settle and get to it today - my sleeper goby had it all piled up in a corner for me when I got home! Good boy!

Electricity went off 8:30 last night. Lost my 1st fish around midnight. Spent the rest of the night using a hand air pump & a pitcher to keep tanks aerated. Sat at the rental place at 6am, they opened at 7. Just as I got everything plugged into the generator, the electricity went back on. I think that fish was old...

I'm buying a generator. All the FW tanks seemed OK. I think it's because I have live plants in them. Every inch of the reef tank has O2-consuming life in there. Even the pods were struggling to breathe. Brittle stars were lined up along the rim.

I have to say, I have the best hubby in the word! He was up all night with me helping to keep everything alive. Even Kalvin followed me from room to room.

That sucks PP, what kind of fish did you lose? That is pretty awesome that you were using air pumps to keep it alive! That is some dedication! I usually just take a pitcher and fill it up and dump it in, but with all the stuff you have that probably wouldn't be enough.

Yep, my friends that live in Chicago say that was a pretty bad storm yesterday. They tell me that Elmhurst looks like it got bombed.
