Button & Vettel in their updated tank.

Post by Phoenix91 »

I finally got to move over the plants and such from the 5 g to the new 20 g for my new dps. The puffers were surprisingly easy to get out of the tank, i just put in a plastic cup and they each went in it to explore and i scooped them out. Very simple. Then getting them transferred back was just as easy. They are to curious for their own good.

Button explored all around the new plants and the new driftwood. Vettel mostly explored for stray snail babies he could eat.

The tank is currently on my kitchen bench, i'll be getting a stand soon and moving it into my dining room. The lights are Attached to the sides because i don't have a hood; in fact i don't even have a proper top, i'm using two book shelves that were left over from my renovations. It seems to work.

Way to go!
That's a nice start, I'm sure they love u for it.

:metal:
29 Gallon Marine tank, with refugium, skimmer. Base rock, coral skeletons. Stock: Baby Ocellaurus Clown, young Saddled Toby, 3 Hermit crabs, one 2 inch Bristle Worm, hitch hiking starfish.

10g Biotope. 3 C. Travancoricus (Dwarf Puffer) Some Ghost shrimp, gravel/sand substrate, heavily planted with Swords and Java Moss.

10g LR Culture Tank. 10+ pounds fiji LR / base rock. Assorted hitch hiking inverts

Some FW tanks.

In My Experience, Fishkeeping is like Cooking. Five or ten basics will keep anyone from getting sick. But to be truly magnificent... You have to know the right Recipies.

Thanks.

They are so happy to explore that button didn't even come to get fed this morning. They love it.

I'm obviously planning on getting more plants since it's a bit sparse but in a 5g all those plants filled it up.
