Put the sand in now--it's gonna get cloudy again. Add the ammonia immediately. Count the amount it takes to get the ammonia to 5ppm.

Okay guys, so my lfs has a bunch of BBGS
SO
First off how many should I get in my 29 gallon that will have 2 f8's?
Also, there is hardly any ammonia and my parents think its weird to feed a tank, i mean who wouldnt? I want to keep the tank cycled
the bbgs are at a fw level, im gonna drip em into .005

BUT
the F8's are at .019.... is that a problem if i drip them down to a 1.005?

Yes, drip the F8s down--give it several hours & keep an airstone in there. Keep dumping the old water out, until it's about 2" deep in the bucket, after the water is 4".

*Update
(2G) Got snails today, free from the LFS, only problem? They aren't one breed of snails... what should i feed my snails?
(29G) Had my BBGs for about a week, bought some bloodworms today for them to eat.... will that be a stable diet for them until i get my puffers so they can eat remains of it?

Ice cream cone shaped snails are Malaysian Trumpet Snails & are too hard for puffer's teeth. They will chip them.

Snails are animals. Give them back to your LFS?

Could do that but will wind up with thousands... If you have any tanks without puffers, they make a good cleaner crew/sand stirrers.
