According to the state of South Carolina, there is no such thing as brackish water; it's either freshwater or saltwater. Also, saltwater occurs naturally. EX. the ocean.

Nope, parts of Florida are very cultured and progressive. South Carolina is just kind of embarrassing. They celebrated a state confederate holiday they felt they needed to even out the MLK Jr Holiday

Obviously, the magic water fairies hover over all the bays and estuaries and sprinkle marine mix at the dividing line between FW and SW.
It must be hard on the fish though, to swim directly from specific gravity 1.000 to 1.024, or the reverse..
