New here with a Fahaka puffer

Post by 12345 »

Hi everyone,

I picked this guy up a few weeks ago.

This is my first attempt with puffers and so far it's been really pleasant and she has a lot of personality. :)

I was told that it was a girl and she seems really gentle.

Welcome to the forum, love the pics, puffers are generally impossible to sex. What size tank do you have? You will need a monster tank to keep this puffer happy and healthy
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

The only way to sex a fahaka, is if it lays eggs. Either way, just keep calling her a "she". He won't mind... ;)

Now that's bright. Amost have the colors of a cross river puffer or it could be color effect of the lighting.
