quick question
Would a empty marineland 220(220gph) be enough movement for a 10g salt tank? Also would there be any problems using a empty canister filter?

Re: quick question
Sure! I put LR rubble in there, for a mini-fuge.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: quick question
jw, but what you putting in there? i was thinking of making a smaller tank like that and having it at work but salt creep and supplies not being at work and are at home all negated the idea

Re: quick question
Are you asking what Im going to stock it with? Cause im not sure yet. Im thinking some hermits, snails, and gotta find a fish or two(would love to get a clown for my kid)
As for supplies, im going to run the marineland 220(with rubble, thanks PP) Im going to put about 10-12lbs of LR, and some argonite for substrate. My LFS sales premixed SW for $1 a gallon so Im thinking of getting the water from them just for ease. Figure on doing 1-2g weekly water changes, so it would be cheap and easy to get it from them.
If anyone sees that Im missing something please let me know

Re: quick question
yeah i was just seeing what your idea was for stock. i would probably go with something along the lines as an invert tank, load it up with a tall stack of live rock with all kinds of crevaces. hermits and crabs would probably enjoy that tank a lot. i didnt think about the premixed saltwater, petco by my work does that as well... hmmm....
