My hubby has lots of guns, he's a collector & loves to shoot. We live in a lovely, safe neighborhood where I would not hesitate to walk my dog at 3am. No fear here...

Well I dont fear much either but I always believed to be safe then sorry. I dont carry a ccw but just for home defence so nothing that extreme. Alot of homes get broken into around here so most people around here has a gun in their homes. Either for home protection or alot of hunters or both. Now I dont live in the hood or such but crime still goes on in these lil towns. Btw, if zombies do attack, I will sure send them up your way for easy pickins....

Take me scuba diving on your boat!

Shes not the most sea worthy of vessels. With that hull design there is a TON of roll, so it pretty much stays in the SF bay and summers in the CA delta. Not exactly scuba area unless all you want to see is green murky water. But if you are ever in CA give me a heads up and the award winning monterey bay is 1 hour from me!

Ive been tossing around the idea of getting a small real steel pistol, mostly for the fact that I like to go camping in the middle of no where, Ive had some interactions with people (probably meth heads) out there and it would have been nice to know that its there. Although my dog seems to be a rather good deterrent, shes only a 55lb boarder collie but she looks a good deal more menacing when she is on gaurd, which is pretty much any time someone is near the jeep.

Either way a good dog is worth its weight in gold for Z-Day, as long as the dog isnt a constant barker.

A pistol... meh. Try a rifle or shotgun, we got ton's of those also. One my Grandpa used in WW2. I also saw a Thompson Machine Gun at a local shop that I want.

Oh no, Greenspottedlover, pistols are a lot of fun! Many years ago when I was pounding sand in that God-forsaken desert we used to try to cut playing cards in half with our M9's when we got bored.

Thats what I carry as a side arm in airsoft, M9. I would love to get the real thing.

A pistol... meh. Try a rifle or shotgun, we got ton's of those also. One my Grandpa used in WW2. I also saw a Thompson Machine Gun at a local shop that I want.

No real room/need for a long arm while camping, and with CA passing such crazy laws on "assault" rifles, I dont want a AR 15 if its going to end up like this:

I love to shot guns but the 9mm and .45 acp are the best, imo. There is a video of a guy busting up a brick wall with a .45 acp and it ripped throuh that wall like paper. Now that's why any .45 acp is my weapon of choice .

I actually have an airsoft pistol too and a hunting slingshot that shoots eye sized led balls. I also love to fashion throwing spears from trees and throw hatchets. Aww... weapons .

Speaking of axes, a throwing axe set would be a one of the best zombie killing items to deal with just a few, plenty of weight to smash through and almost silent. A friend's dad of mine had a set, great fun to practice with, and a very satisfying thud when they sink in perfectly.

How about employing zombies after everything is in control, you wouldnt even notice the difference at the DMV.

Except that axes and such have to be retrieved after each use. Fine for one or two zombies I guess but if you run into a dozen you're hosed. I'd rather be a full-time lead farmer.
