I tried 3 separate times at $80/shot. That was >10 years ago.

Re: OMG!!! Zebra Pleco-$450!!!
i thought i heard that from you before, but i wasnt sure
Re: OMG!!! Zebra Pleco-$450!!!
Those are actually relatively common around here. I've even seem them in local stores. No live guarantees on them though
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: OMG!!! Zebra Pleco-$450!!!
I've seen baby ones for sale in the UK at £250 each. Apparently the reason the price has gone up so much is because it is illegal to export them from Brazil and they have started to crack down on it instead of letting it slide so the ones for sale should be captive bred.
Beautiful fish, I'd love to get one but they're just too expensive

Re: OMG!!! Zebra Pleco-$450!!!
Quite a few of the smaller suckermouth cats have been captive bred, and the first few spawns do tend to go for astronomic prices. But whether or not this one ever becomes really common is iffy. It is after all nocturnal and non-algae eating. Despite its looks, I don't see it as other than a specialist's fish. Looks are great, but if you only see the fish every few months unless you have dim red lights, It is too pricy for other than specialists, and unless it is really easy to breed it is likely to remain so.

That's one of the reasons I like my Atabapo, he swims around during the day too. He's a cute fish!

7, I think that's called a "Brown" zebra. The ones I posted about have brilliant stark white & very dark black striping. Very striking fish!

He's a L052, Atabapo or butterfly. He's grey and off-white/cream.
I know it's not the same fish, but I get to see mine swim around everyday, and he knows when it's ummy time.
I wouldn't care for a fish I'd never get to see
I'd be telling his cave, "I want my money back, you're boring."

Seven, you need to take more pics of your pleco. I love the patterns.
