Hey All.
I have a 10 gallon FW tank that I use for housing guppy dams and fry. Theres a fairly large colony of Copepods in there as well. They are the really small kind and are benthic (living in the substrate). I know they make a good cleanup crew as they are diminutive omnivores...
So does anyone know if I can acclimate them to brackish conditions and "seed" a colony into my puffer tank?
And if I got some Amphipods too, what are the odds of a puffer that doesnt eat ghost shrimp going after em?

I know, right?
Imagine my suprise at seeing them crawling around in the hundreds lol. Anyone know if I can convert them with a drip, or if they are endemic to fresh water?

Could it be Daphnia? My old snail tank always had daphnia in it.

There are plenty of FW copepods, but nothing like the myriad SW ones. They are excellent fry food, but extremely difficult to co-culture with any small fish. They get eaten.
If you want really big fat and colorful Singapore shrimp, set them a tank downstream fro a 24/7 lighted planted Daphnia tank. The big "Russian" variety is the best IME.
