Videos of Jabba my baby fahaka on his 3rd day blending in to his gravel with his camouflage birthday suit. I did not know they had the ability to camouflage themselves so completely. There were 7 red crabs all together but now there are 4 in 3 days and I did not see him get any of them, very sneaky of Jabba with his little fat body. Next vidoes in a week, I don't want you guys to get sick of me! Also You notice the red crabs hiding behind that big boulder, but they have to come out eventually and Jabba the hut will be waiting patiently!

I think youll find that fahakas like to bury themselves underneath the sand rather than laying on top of it, your gravel seems quite coarse and does not look fine enough to allow the fahaka to do this. I would suggest changing your gravel to a fine sand bed at least 3" deep to allow your fahaka to bury himself underneath.
If you see pics of my old fahaka in his tank, youll notice how fine the sand is. It is natural for fahakas to bury themself under the sand as they can lye in wait for prey to walk past them and strike aswell as feeling safe that they are camouflaged are all natural behaviours that you can encourage with a deep sand bed. Another thing is that fahakas have soft tummies that can be cut / scratched easily by sharp gravel stones!
