Idea's for cheap tempory tank divider?

Post by Tonke »

My fahaka like to be very intimate with my fingers when im fixing with the tank and i don't want him to get a taste for human flesh  so i need to set up a cheap and functioning tank divider.
I was thinking to put up some kind of plastic Venetian blinds in the middle of the tank so i can work undisdurbed without me being worried for my fingers wellbeing :D

So how have you solved the problem with a temporary tank divider ?

/cheers

Egg crate, found in the lighting dept of the hardware store. Be sure it fits tightly, or he'll just plow it over.

I used to use plastic/glass window replacement pieces as tank dividers. it worked perfectly for snakes/geckos/scorpions and the such. but i never got around to using it for fish.

This is just temp though, so the tank can be cleaned without the keeper being injured by the puffer. I wonder what RTR did--I know he a really scary fahaka at one time.

The channels for my doubled eggcrate divider were semi-permanently attached with silicone and backed up with rocks. My one really untrustworthy Fahaka was always on the other side from where I was working. He was just too strong for anything at all flimsy.
