Looking for a good home

Post by jus85411 »

i was going to post in the classifieds, but im only really joking and i completely laughed at this post except for the pictures.

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/for/2352052436.html

now a) the river is 5-10 mins from most neighborhoods in philly so im going to say he found this while fishing or something; and b) $200? i was in virginia fishing with my friends uncle when i was visiting and we were pulling the boat up these shallow rapids when i saw an alligator snapping turtle with his back half sticking out from under rocks and his head under the rocks. i grabbed him to check him out and let my friends cousin see and no lie his shell must have been 18-24 inches wide, not long. he was heavy too! i just really couldnt believe this guy is trying to sell a snapping turtle, probably the most common turtle you would come across on a days fishing near the river in this area. i once found one while wading in the river that was the size of the baby ones pet stores sell. he was very cute, but i didnt keep him 8)

My mom found a baby one in her pool! I don't know who would want one as a pet!
