Reef tank setup
I just got a 20g with live rock from a friend and wanted to try my hand in a reef tank...the lighting system he gave me is 2x24 watt t5 ho with reflectors one bulb is a 12000k and other bulb is an actinic bulb is this good enough for corals or atleast some

You have a very good friend there. Ask your friend how old the bulbs are. no it looks like its just one reflector and he said the bulbs are about 3 months old

You need individual reflectors to get the correct light from them but you could try some softies.

ok cool so if i do successfully do this what do you think I could keep?? I know my other friend said he would sell me some zoas would they do ok since he said they are filter feeders

You should ask the company selling those if they'll fit as clip ons, under the reflector you have.
