Home Depot Buckets For Transport

Post by eieio »

does anyone have experience with transporting fish in the orange colored Home Depot buckets
i'll be doing a 10 hour transport soon & want to be sure that these buckets (they will be purchased new & clean/unused for anything else) are safe to use
Thanks!

Should be fine, just rinse well with hot water.

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

thanks
i read & re-read the library article several times - lots of valuable info there
wanted to be sure that the bucket plastic won't be harmful or toxic
has anyone else used them for transport or water storage?
:)

They're just plain old clean buckets.

I use 5 gallon Lowes buckets for taking water out of my tanks and for transporting new water for my dad's tank. They are sold never before used and I rinsed them several times before my first use. Never had a problem.

Don't forget a lid, they only cost $1.

Good luck.

Before getting an RO system I would transport water from the lfs all the time in orange buckets.
