Don't they only get up to 3 inches? My rule is one Inch=One gallon..

That rule only works for fish like neons and REALLY doesn't work for puffers at all.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Ya that "rule" doesnt work with most fish. Puffers make such a huge mess that they need a lot of water to handle their bioload

Icic .. so my 12" koi will fit in a 15 gal?

no that "rule" does not work at all too many exceptions. Assuming you have read the link to the various puffers and their care requirements, why would you arbitrarily decide that the guide is incorrect?

I would not even keep my tetras that tightly packed, if you want to enjoy your fish give them space to move

For most puffers its one inch= five gallons. Meaning you need about five times as much space per fish.

Okay... I get it, theres no reason to hate.... Thanks for the information, I understand those ridicules limitations, but I'm aware that 12 inch fish cannot fit in 15 gallons. But a 3 inch fish is not a thing to compare

No hating here, just folks getting frustrated thinking people still believe that old-time rule. You can't go just by the length--you have to include the mass too. Puffers are about 5x the mass of a tetra.

Question about a SAP, are they truly FW? Or would they prefer Brackish? Also, it would be helpful if the price range of these fish was in the description!

FW but can go low BW 1.005

The price range depends on the season and currency flux. Typically they are caught in the spring (our time) and may appear on the market early to mid summer.
