Congos can be very difficult to get off fish & onto dead foods. If you don't have the finances to feed live foods (at minimum, earthworms & blackworms) or an available supply & don't have the patience to be bouncing a shrimp tail on the end of a thread for days (possibly weeks) on end, then this isn't the fish for you.

I would never get a fish that wasn't a puffer, but that's just me! Unless it was something that I could house with a puffer. To me, a tank ain't right without a puffer.

well, I have access to all of the earthworms and crickets that I want. Plus I can also pick up some ghost shrimp and other stuff for them. wait, they will eat crickets right?

I have only had my Congo a few days and she only notices me when I drop a fish in her tank...I don't even think that it's that she notices me and much as the fish!!! Lol! My favorite is my Ares, my Fahaka, hands down!!! He is so unbelievably awesome!!! I know that's not an option, but just had to throw it in there. My Gsp's and F8's are tied...the new gsp's are really starting to win me heart! The Congo however is so cool to watch...I love how she looks like she hovers when she swims...and she is in no hurry when she hunts...she's always so chill!!!

They are different than any other fish. They only interact when hungry, otherwise, pretty much stay buried. I just think they are very cool-,looking fish & interesting to watch when they eat. If I was only to have a single puffer, it would be a GSP.

Yes.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
