the one on the top right seems to have those planaria-like eye spots...
whatever they are, they seem to have died down or something because there's not nearly as many as I had before I cleaned them off of my driftwood and java fern. I'm not very worried about them because they don't seem to threaten anything except maybe my plants, it just bothers me that I don't know what the heck they are!

hadla, the blobs in your photo remind me of some that I had in my brackish tank in the past.

I ultimately converted my tank to saltwater and haven't had that problem again.

do you happen to still have the pictures? the blobs aren't fuzzy at all though, they're smooth, which is why I'm referring to them as "blobs" because I don't know what else to call them!

i know they're not snail eggs because the snails wouldnt have a chance with the dps. it isn't food either because they have literally been there for months and i also know what uneaten food looks like! i was grossed out by an uneaten pellet that had those spiny things poking out of it once! XD
it seems to be some kind of living thing(like animal) because its slimy and sticks to whatever it is on really well!
I wish I had a better camera for taking macro pictures because I want people to be able to see what I see when I look at them! and my camera can't do that

i have seen similar before but was near/around uneaten food defo not snail eggs tho are you feeding mussells, seems like an odd question but small amounts of this float and stick then gets broken down
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Do you have any wood in your tank? Just asking because it was something similar to what I had growing on the log in my tank, it really mysteriously stopped growing after the mollies started eating it and I ended up removing it while the log was in the tank by scooping it up the filter hose... because repeated attempts to remove and scrub and soak the log let it grow back, now it hasnt grown back. I dont know its the same thing of course, just wanted to add my two cents to the topic and offer another possibility. Hopefully like mine, it will stop appearing after you do some cleaning.

yes, I have 2 pieces and it was all over those until I scrubbed them off. It's only on my fake plants and java fern now...

Oh Hadla I posted to Srkoe about the blob stuff because she brought it up and I thought I was replying to you XD but it seems she is having the same problem heres what I said to her thinking I was replying to your blobs that are all over your decor... Srkoe said she had the stuff growing on wood in her tank, I dont know if you have any wood in your tank however. I wonder if theres anything else in your tank that could make this stuff grow?
"Hmm that makes me wonder if maybe the circulation in the tank is blowing the stuff off your wood onto the other decor in the tank. My fiance read somewhere that the snot stuff is actually partly a fungus and partly sugar extracted from the sap in the wood. This MAY be your cause. I can only suggest, if thats the case, to scrub the wood off with just a plain sponge or cloth and water, and keep doing this until it goes away. Unless you would prefer to try to clean it in the tank, but Ive noticed that the stuff breaks up really easily and turns into tiny scraps of... snot... that are impossible to catch unless you can get them to the filter tube. But keep wiping it out, you dont want your fish to eat it. I think it might have been the cause of death of one of my baby mollies. They were all trying to eat that stuff... it was really disgusting. I hope you get it under control because I know how awful looking it is."
