i dun think live food works.... i gave him a crayfish already, and he didn't eat it =[

I said Earthworms, not something that can fight back. That's what my puffer started eating after his food strike--his favorite food!

Ya it didn't work, the earthworms r pretty big, same length as my fahaka's body

That shouldn't matter. He's just on a hunger strike. Keep the water parameters perfect & keep offering him earthworms--he'll eat them eventually. They can go a long time without eating.

should i try feeder goldfish??

so i will just throw in a earthworm and a shrimp everyday

Stick with what PP mentioned. Earthworms will be the best to get him back to eating. Mine was on a 2.5 week hunger strike when I brought him home over a eyar ago. Now he eats anything, anytime.

This is his/her assortment of food:

Pellets
Snails (ramshorns)
Worms
Crayfish
Mussels on the half shell

I feed my Fahaka about 3 times a week, until his belly is slightly rounded. Remember, Fahakas do not have a round appearance as other puffers do. If yours is "round" he is being overfed IMO.

should i wash the earthworms? cuz they're pretty dirty..
and how long can i live a earthworm in there before throwing it out?
