I love fishing! I can't wait for everything to melt so I can catch some catfishes.

went catfishing last night :) but they were "lipping" the bait, wouldnt take completely. and it got really windy and cold. i just want it to get warmer so we can start hitting up this one river spot we have for catfish, bass and carp. my friend pulled a HUGE flathead catfish out of that spot. tail touching the dock it still came up to my hip!! probably close to 35-40 pounds, we didnt have a scale tho cause we normally dont pull anything out like that

Yeah after the rain all day and night yesterday, it was pretty out today and alittle chilly about around in the 60's I would say. Now my little spot to catch crayfish got too deep..lol

Well I doubt theres any snow now :) Unless you are in Canada. I cant wait to go fishing this summer... I want to go catch some more Croaker :D I like any kind of fishing except on a boat, I get seasick :P but I remember trying to make my own fishing poles when I was little and fish in the swamp (more of a lake, but it had alligators and water moccasins oh and alligator snapping turtles) the most I could ever catch was when I found a stream full of tadpoles and minnows though lol. And it would usually be at a picnic so Id be trying to catch them in a paper cup. Except for that one picnic when I had my own fishing pole and I caught that pike... but it kept breaking my line. I was feeding it hot dogs and cheetos. haha.

What!!! Well thats just crazy. lol no there was a day here in March that it snowed for an hour actually, so yeah, spring comes slowly. But its here now, the days have become nice and warm and really, its prime fishing weather right now. :) Its just before all the crazy insects are out in their numbers, and not so hot youll get sunburned while you wait. Only, if there arent a multitude of insects, some of the insect-eating type fish might not be prevalent :P And lastly, being that its spring, youre likely to think its a great day then end up in a mid-day shower.

It's already been in the 90's here at times! Most days lately it's gotten up in the 80's. I want to go fishing so bad now! Right now is perfect for catching crappie and bass here.
