Its been a while...

Post by Homer »

Well, its been a while since i last posted over here on TPF, in fact over a year :scared:

Anyway, since then i've moved into my new home, and sadly lost my palembangs due to a failed heater while they were in the hospital tank and i wasn't in town to notice... so after a bit of thinking what to get, i decided to move on and get a fahaka for my 200G whos now happily living with an albino pleco and one yellow lab...

Here are some pics of my fahaka

The first day i got her home

Here is one of her at around 7 months old and 8" or so long... haven't got any new pics lately, although shes probably at close to 13" TL

Now by the looks of Homer in the 2nd pic, he looks like a heck of a monster fahaka. Looks awesome and well fed. Tank looks really nice too. Would love to see the whole set-up pic of his tank.

Nice tank but your puffer needs some cover. Filbert loves hanging out in those fake mangrove caves from Petsmart.

Now that's a show tank, Homer. Crystal clear water and love the whole set-up. Btw, sorry to ask another question but what kind of filtration? Looks like 2 canisters from the looks of the intake strainers but just wondering what brand and size.

@PP: Yeah, normally i'd agree puffers like some sort of cover, but my fahaka for some reason doesn't care for them at all... i've over the year tried 3 different sizes caves for her as she was growing but never once used any of them and end up sitting in the tank for a month with no occupants...

Maybe i just haven't found the right type yet?

@Fade to black: Thanks, the tank is running 2 Ferplast Blu Extreme Filters rated at 1500L each + one UV Filter ;)

@xrayjeeper: thanks for the comment :)
