Adding Java Fern to my Brackish Tank
I just bought a small Java Fern and I want to put it in my low brackish aquarium. I am slowly raising the salinity because it use to be a freshwater tank. Can I just put it in right away since it is at the very low end of being brackish or should I slowly accustom it to the water salinity. The SG in my tank is only at 1.004... will it be ok to just add the plant? At the moment I have him in a smaller tank with an even lower SG of 1.002 so I don't accidentally shock it. Should I continue to slowly add more salinity to reach the 1.004 or can I just put it in the tank without an issue? Thanks.

Just stick it in and it'll be fine. I wouldn't raise the salinity much past SG1.003 though if you want to keep it in good condition.
