Strange question... won't the Betta kill the snails anyway? My female Betta kills the larger apple and mystery snails that are in the same tank she is in. My male leaves the assassins alone. haven't tried other snails with a Betta yet.

Nope my betta leaves all the snails alone, he has always been in my snail tank
