Dwarf beaks
I was of the understanding that dwarf puffers did not suffer with over grown beaks, and so although a good idea, snails and crunchy foods were not a necessity, But recently reading an article on here someone has cast some doubt on this, so I was wondering whats true and what's not.

I have never had a DP with incisor overgrowth. It may be possible, but I have never seen it myself. My DPs always have had quite a soft diet - it includes snails, but they never crush them, they are "bite and slurp" snail eaters, rather more like loaches than most puffers. They also have always had live blackworms as a staple - a very soft food.
All other puffers I have kept would have some to severe incisor problems on such a soft diet.

No beak issues for me. My DP sucks and bites the soft bits of snails.

Mine just suck the snails out too. I can't even imagine trying to trim dwarf teeth...lol!
