What to put in it?

1 x - striped red eye puffer - Location (country): United states, Oregon
What to put in it?
My boyfriend, the sweetheart, got me a ten gallon tank for my birthday. Not a big tank but biggest I can have. Question now is what should I put in it?

I'd recommend some kind of substrate, first and foremost. 
What about the dwarf puffer you have, is he in a tank smaller than a ten gallon? If not, you could set it up for him.

Of course I'm going to put in substrate, water, plants and all that fun stuff. The dwarf I had sadly died a couple months ago.
