decor for puffer tank

Post by blackghostknife »

What plants are suitable to a dwarf puffer tank? It will be ten gallons and will use a bio wheel filter. It will also contain a small school of zebra danios. I want to make a tank that meets all of their requirements. I was thinking about hornwart and java fern.
The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang the best. Use the talents you possess.

I suggest some java moss because it is a good plant to use as a hide for fish.

I have java fern, anubias, anarachnis, wisteria and amazon swords in my dp tank...they love it all! I bought some silk foliage that auctions to the back glass, it is made by Zoomed (I believe) and made for terriums...that is their favorite!! Six of them sleep in it at night and the other two sleep in the anacharis.

cool. I will probably try really hardy plants and maybe a piece of bogwood or two. I love puffers. I did not know that there were pure fresh water varieties until recently and when I found out I had to have one.

If you plan on breeding DPs, be sure to have some clumps of Java Moss up in the plants - it is messy, but also the only site mine used for spawning.
