So ive been trying to decide on hides for my Dwarf Puffer tank, Ive come across these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Apistogramma-Dwar ... 19c416cdfb they are listed as clay Dwarf Cichlid spawning caves.
Anyone know if these would be safe for my dp tank or would they be harmful?
Also seeing the size of the entrance hole, Do you think using my dremel to enlarge the hole cause any problems?

shouldn't be any problems,...I know lots of folks who use similar caves for pleco breeding too
Re: Clay hides
How about plant pots like these http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/products ... _81216.htm They stock things like this at my local garden centre, anything else i think i'll have to order online, hence my shopping about and question asking.

If they take naps on top of them, you can tell people they're high on pot.

Terra cotta pots are fine too. I have used them with my cichlids before. Very cheap caves and such

Fish keepers have been using terra cotta pots and piece of pots for years for their fish. If they are new, they are safe,
