Problem with this kind of thinking is that too many things get in the way of intentional upgrades--it's called life. Especially with SW, where it involves bigger skimmer, more live rock, etc. Many fish wind up their entire lives not having that ever happen. For me, I have multiple tanks to upgrade into & always moved them way before they were large enough for the tank they were in.

They need about 400L as adults.
Dogface need 400", how big have you seen um? I see a lot of people saying they get bigger than porks, but pufferpedia says 33cm I'm bad at math is that around 13 inch? That true? Or they get bigger? The one in lfs in black with striped belly and spots, like a stars and stripes puffer but he is a dogface! How big would he get?thanks
Those arothons can look a like. If he looks like a stars and stripes, he probably is- 19 inches.

They are completely different species of the same genus family of puffers.

So he isn't a dogface? Looks like one?! Seen them on youtube as dogfaces! So this star striped dogface look alike will be 13 inch or 19 inch max?

Whatever the Pufferpedia says. I will repeat: There are many different species within the Dogface (Arothron) family of puffers.

That sounds like a good idea :)
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

The S&S IS also a dogface. Dogface is only the common name for a family of puffers. I still think you don't understand. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Google Images IDed their puffers incorrectly, unlike our Pufferpedia. Best bet would be to take a pic of the puffer you are interested in at the store & post it up here, for correct ID.
