Drip Acclimation.

Post by Capt Dorsal Fin »

I have a 10 gallon tank. Can someone give me a process how to drip a green spotted puffer from a salt water tank to a BW tank?
THANKS! Need help ASAP.

Temporary housing situation, while we acquire a bigger tank.

Yes. it was in salt. It is being moved to BW because that's the setup I have, the person who had him can no longer keep him.
He is about 2.5 inches long.

hey man I'm just trying to understand the situation. if the tank is already cycled then you could "drip" it, but THIS I have not done and someone else would have to explain.

Don't get upset with the questions we ask....you are the one who is obviously not prepared here.

In order to keep the fish period you need a hydrometer or refractometer to measure the salinity. There is no measurement such as xx amount of salt in so much water = BW...you need the proper instruments.

If you really want to keep the fish alive then you need to have the correct hardware and start listening to people who know better than you.
Either that or give the fish to someone who is capable.

no seriously that isn't cool. its not my fault your the newb who just has a salt setup with no way of reading salt. If you don't want my help then fine let your puffer die, but its not fair to the puffer.
