We got ours brand new for about $45. Have you looked online? We bought ours at a local online store.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I looked online and my dad says $50(about $60 shipping and handling) is to much for a new refractometer. He doesn't know anything of the hobby and yet always does this.

I couldn't find much information online but they have a toll free number.

I paid $35 shipped, from Ebay. Don't forget the calibration solution too.

My Puffers: 1 GSP (Microfiche) RIP, 1 Monotrete Turgidus (Leon) in a 30gal. 1 Monotrete suvattii in a 40 gal FW. 120 gallon BW with 3 juvenile Dragon Gobies (so cool). 55 gal with a 2" GSP named Hank. 180 gallon being set up for a Fahaka in the next few months!

Same here, $35 from e-bay with shipping. Good quality, I'll see if they are still selling at that price.
"Darwin swings...annnnnnd a miss. Boy Jim, Chuck's suffered at the plate tonight. He's 0 for 3 and I'm not sure he's recovered from that shoulder pull a few weeks ago. I'll bet the front office is re-thinking that contract."

i guess i put it here.paid 10bucks for a........not even close to being accuract.what the hell spedometer at 180 all the he time ???
its been 3 mons i dont even use it...
