Quick update on my puffs

Post by ballyhoo »

So I haven't been around in a while....

Rosie the DP is no longer with us. Her curious nature and the unexplored territory of my filter did not mix well and sadly she didn't recover. After the tank sat puffer free for a few weeks, only inhabitated by a pair of Bumblebee Gobies I finally got another set of puffers. I had origionally wanted 3, but the LFS only had 2 left and it was a rare chance that they had any at all. I believe I've gotten a male and female pair, but I'm not sure. They are definatly visiably different, but I don't know which is which. I haven't had any aggression issues besides them chasing each other out of their territory. No nipped fins, no cowering and everyone is ravenously feeding.

Here are some pictures :)

Very well could be, I just assumed since one was more the tanner/yellow color and the other was nearly white with the dark spots that i had two different genders. I'll try to get some better pics tonight

In the first pic, the one closest to the camera looks like my boy. Possibly a female, but definitely the same breed of DP.
if you follow me, you avoid stepping in the crap that I just did...
