mollies and f8's

Anyone ever have molies in with f8's? I put a pair in and so far seem ok with the puffs, plus they are eating alage off everything! Yeah! I don't see any nipped fins. Just wondering if anyone has had any sucess keeping them together.

mollies should be fine with a F8,....they do well in BW too

I keep guppies, BBG's and a dragon goby with mine.....no problems in 5 years

I got mollies for the same reason--algae. They did a great job with it. But the F8s eventually ate them all. I also tried Sailfin mollies but they terrorized one of the puffers.

Well these are just generic orange mollies, not the fancy type. I figured the fins would get nipped if I had the fancy type. I have noticed that they sometimes try and school with a puff and the puff doesn't care for that too much. So the mollies gets shooed away. They are pretty quick! When I first put them in the puffs were chaseing them away from the wood as if to say this is my territory!

The molly that was a terror to your puff, do you know if it was male maybe?

I've never seen orange mollies. Are you sure they're not platies?

yeah there are a few different types of orange mollies. Creamsicle mollies are probably the most common. Also there are gold dust mollies that I know of too. Both pretty much just fancy names for orange mollies.....

Yup sure they are mollies. I double checked them in my fish book before moving them into the BW tank.
