Cutie!
Do you find that they display darker colors with a darker substrate? My previous brackish tank had more browns and greens than my current saltwater tank with its white substrate... my gsp is much more bright than I've ever seen him (which may be a function of the sw? not sure.)

Re: My Green Spotted Puffers
I don't really know. These are my first puffer fish. I just got them on January 9th. Balthazar blends in better with the rocks and Fredrick sometimes makes himself that brown color of the fake coral stuff.c333davis wrote:Do you find that they display darker colors with a darker substrate? Your GSPs look so happy and healthy!! And such a nice tank! I noticed one of them has a little circle on his belly... is it a birthmark or something? I'm just curious, I've never seen one on a puffer before. In any case, what lovely, chubby little puffers you have. =)

He did not have it when I got him. I have been told it is a puffer bite. Fredrick must have bite Balthazar. =(kingkoopa wrote:Your GSPs look so happy and healthy!! And such a nice tank! I don't think his bite looks as bad as it did when he first got it. =)
Thanks for the compliments!

Oh gosh! Hope he's okay... he certainly looks okay, but GSPs are really aggressive. Will you eventually separate them?

I plan on leaving them together. I've never seen them bite at each other, only chase a little bit. I think they are going to be all right. They are pretty lazy most of the time. They just lay around until they see something going on outside the tank.kingkoopa wrote:Oh gosh! Hope he's okay... he certainly looks okay, but GSPs are really aggressive. I had to separate mine, the little one was harassing the bigger one. I was hoping they would get along, but they have opposite personalities.

Re: My Green Spotted Puffers: 3 videos
Mine get along whenever they aren't eating or both wanting to be right in front of me while I am in front of the tank. I think they are going to be fine. I hope so any ways.sevenyearnight wrote:I had to separate mine, the little one was harassing the bigger one. I was hoping they would get along, but they have opposite personalities.
Re: My Green Spotted Puffers: 3 videos
You might have a chance with them but only because you have just the two of them in a 75 gallon. Fingers crossed for you.angelaz wrote:I plan on leaving them together.
