Picked this up last Saturday and he/she's doing super well. Already eaten 2 black mollies and likes his cave I built for him. I was worried when I first got him because he had to live in a 5 gallon bucket with a heater and air pump for a week while I acclimated him to brackish from fresh.

I had him special ordered for me. It took me 8 months to find a store that could get one for me. Many said they could, but only one came through.
It took me a week because when the store ordered it from the farm, it was in FW. I don't have a FW tank, so I had to bring him up to 1.012 SG before I could put him in the tank. I wasn't gonna risk acclimating him over a few hours. But yes, eels are extremely sensitive, especially in FW.
I'm currently looking for a flounder to add to the tank and I want a giant prawn in there too. Looks like the guppies that I bought for food might actually end up surviving a while. One female got eaten and the other died 2 days after having a baby, but the males are actually flourishing lol. I guess the bright colors make the eel a little hesitant.

Only sad part with getting the eel was I had to trade in 2 puffers. I traded in a GSP and an F8. Plus my 2 Mono Sabaes. I got money back after trading in those fish and getting the eel. I was surprised, but they loved my little puffers.
I think they turned the show tank on the front desk into brackish to display my puffers. Or at least that was what the owner was talking about when I was leaving.
