Hi Iiemail I truly wish you could of waited until you had the larger tank build before purchasing this MBU. If my calculations are correct you now have it in a 25 gallon? It does really need a bigger tank ASAP or you run the risk of stunning and permanent damage. You keep purchasing all these different kinds of puffers which are dying because you don't yet understand their proper care. I know you are trying but you really need to research and make sure you can provide the proper care from the start before you acquire your puffer.

Trekenk is right.

Puffers must to in their final tank in the very beginning. The tank might look silly for a bit when the fish is a baby however their personality will quickly fill it up.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

It will grow a lot, fast. Minimum 1" per month, probably faster. My Fahaka went from about 3/4" to his current 8" in about 7-8 months.

the mbu will get bigger when its in a suitable home. if it is never in a suitable home then it wont grow. 25 gallons is never suitable for a mbu so it might never grow

if the puff is in a 25 gallon, i would trash the 25 gallon and get a HUGE rubbermade tub or a smalle kid pool for the time being. 25 gallons will not be enough for any short time. if you have plans on saving for a 900/1000 US gallon i would spurge now and get something more suitable for a temp home

Liemail I don't think you understand this fish is not going to be able to live in your bedroom with the tank size it requires. 1000 gallons or 4000 ltr ..... yes large large tank. Unless you live where there are concrete flooring or the floor is reinforced your bedroom will not hold a tank that size. You also need special ventilation for the room so you don't get mold. Do you understand what we are telling you and tried to tell you when you previously asked about owning this fish?

In Indonesia if you can, build a pond. I don't know if you live in an apartment or a house. If it is a house, get that pond. You'll may need a small heater and will need a good filtration system.

I knew a guy in the Philippines that dug a pond and filled it with a child's swimming pool. That worked except it was very "blue". You'll have to get creative, but in your country you don't have winters like us North Americans :D
