I would not do it for no puffer because if they decide to puff up while inside (for some odd reason) one of those pipes then that would not be a good thing, imo.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood that. Want to try using a black abs as a spray bar, got ya. I don't know much about that because I never had tried it myself but I have seen black pvc done by many cichlid breeders and hobbyist though.

NIMFT. (Not in my fish tanks)

PVC or CPVC is used for my DIY piping.

PVC should be easy enough to find.

It is not good to use any material which is not labeled safe for potable water. PVC and CPVC are. ABS is for drain and waste only, not for potable water.

I've seen others paint aquarium plumbing with Krylon Fusion. Many say it is safe if you let it completely dry for like a week. IDK.

I know of no one who has installed this kind of piping for aquariums but certain websites are saying it's OK to use for potable water. My husband (a 40 year pipefitter) & has never used this kind of pipe for potable water. What about using grey PVC?

Which means that it stays cleaner inside than clean by huge margin. I am so accustomed to green rigid and flexible tubing that anything else looks strange to me.

But I do have a lot of white PVC behind the tanks.

They are not listed for potable water because they release materials into the water which may or may not be hazardous. It is the same situation as standard garden hoses versus potable water hoses. No way I will use anything for my fish that I would have in my own piping. My fish live long lives and many of them breed. I do not want them in polluted water.
