How will my other fish handle those brackish conditions?

The mollies will like the salt, I keep mollies with my F8's and they thrive in there.

I quit trying to have tankmates for FW or BW puffers about 20 years ago. The successes were chance, the failures routine.

If you are worried about your puffers eating nothing but flakes then stop giving them damn flakes (duh!) Give them what they are suppose to eat. Simple as that.

Re: F8 puffer keeps eating flake food
I had this problem with my f8's and my bbgobies at first. I just put the f8 food in first waited till they seemed full and then would add the other food. My f8's don't care too much for the bbgobie food.
I use my veggie clip for shrimp and tilapia. It makes it eaiser to clean up when they don't eat it all
Also, check out those links listed above on f8 care. Pretty sure your fish don't match up.
Also what type of salt are you using? Aquarium salt or ocean salt (like Instant Ocean)?

Shot, I would love to see my fahaka eat pellets along with the frozen and live foods. Nothing wrong puffers eating flake food also needing that varied diet of frozen, live and freeze-dried foods.
