Algae is on the menu for tobys.

My GSP and my Ceylon both love seaweed strips, and the GSP even goes around and scrapes little round bites of algae off the rocks.

I owned a Stars and Stripes puffer that sucked down algae sheets that was put on a veggie clig for a yellow tang. I had a time trying to feed my tang with that puffer..lol

Tobies do! I had some shaving brush plants in my tank. They were awesome at absorbing nutrients and preventing algae growth. Then my hawaiian white spotted toby decided he wanted some salad with his shrimp and absolutely demolished all five of those plants. He didn't even really eat them, just tore them to pieces one by one.

My GSP doesn't eat the cheato. But he does go after bits of leftovers tangled up in it. I thought he was stuck once, but he was just doing what he does...
