pufferpuggirl wrote:I just got myself another little Congo puffer, looks a bit like your Baloo. He's so tiny it's hard to see him easily. He's a beautiful orange and reminds me of Orangetta. I was going to tell my husband that Orangetta had a baby and that I just found it in the tank one day (that was purplecandle's idea -- but a very good one). The new puff has been really good, he's eaten a couple of tiny earthworms and he's eaten a couple very small guppy fry that I put in with him. He's just so cute. I'm not even sure if Biscuit was that tiny when I first got him.

Anyway, I did want to say that your photos of Baloo are awesome Lisa, really done well. Makes me want to go out and get some orange sand. I wonder what it would look like mixed with whitish sand. Hmmmm, something to think about I suppose.
I posted photos of the new Congo on my thread ("So What's One More Congo Puffer?"). :D
I didn't even see this until now! Thanks, he is a lot of fun. :D
I have seen your thread, he is very cute!! Baloo wasn't that small when we got him, but he's still great none the less!
We have a lot of sand mixes, Red & Black, Purple, Black & Peach, Peach & Black lol so go for it! Just do a little test batch first :)

I saw one of these today at a fish store in North Side of Chicago at Ocean Design Aquarium Inc, 6500 W Irving Park Rd Ste 2 Chicago, IL. Very nice place they have, very clean.

I'm not sure what they normally go for but I think they had him for $80 or $90. I took a few pictures...
Cool, he looks pretty good. I got mine privately from a fellow member on another forum I am on, and he was only $40. They can be rare though, depending on season & where you live.

Very awesome and brightly colored guy he is. I love how he looks the same color of his sand.

The puffer looks kinda "gangster" in the bottom two pictures. Beautiful color.

LOL you guys are too funny. I can't get enough of his colour either. When I bought him he was completely tan like his sand, so I really didn't know the range of colour he had. Really incredible. & He definitely has a gangster attitude as well!! haha
