What are most feeding their Fahaka puffers?

My Fahaka is only 2 to 3 inches right now.. I have a snail farm with a bunch of ramshorns and bladder snails breeding right now, for the moment he's getting a snail every day, if I miss a day I'll give him 2 small ones the next day. I got him to eat a few of the Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold + that I feed my piranhas but he for sure doesn't seem to be to found of them. I'm getting a marbled crayfish for free to start breeding some time soon I hope and I do plan on picking up a bag of raw shell on prawns or shrimps if I can find some.

HGI, I tryed feeding him NLS Thara+A 3mm pellets and he chewed one but did not like it either. Eating more today on frozen bloodworms and krill. Sucked it down so that was a big plus. I will try to start breeding snails as soon as I feed some.

My Fahaka is about 6" and 9 months old. His main diet is pellets (Dainichi, Ultima Krill). He also gets snails (rams), crays (krebs) and worms (red wigglers and nightcrawlers). Here is a link to some pics of him and my Ceylon. I will post them on the Puffer Forum this week sometime.

I feed fata$$ seafood medley frozen. He prefers to eat it frozen, always has! Loves crayfish but I just recently moved from the greater toronto area to winnipeg MB and learned that the province has banned any transport of crayfish due to fisherman bringing up some from the USA and stocking Lake of the Woods hence destroying the native crays.... I need to find crays bad Fata$$ is soo miserable without!

I will change it with one of mine now that I have my new camera. I live in Winnipeg and have a 55 full of crays. I can sell you one if you want. PM me.

wait a minute... did I buy 15 of the lil 1's from you last Thursday?? If so theres 12 left now They are killing eachother mad! LoL I went to LFS and picked up a bunch of live plants and a log so now they arent in eachothers face as much o and shrimp pellets..

No, but was it a guy named Blaine? I got them from him. The small ones only take out the weakest. You'll have a bunch survive.

I found, at my local fish market, rock shrimp. They are just like normal shrimp but their shells are a lot harder. Bloat loves em and they definitely help his teeth

Yeah I seen some shrimp in the shell at Wal Mart but don't remember what kind it was. I will look to see if I can find rock shrimp in the shell. Btw, I love those videos of Bloat on youtube. Got a YouTube channel too but has not uploaded any videos of my Fahaka yet. Waiting until I get his set-up going and him in it. Just in a tempory tank right now. Eating like a hog in the past couple of days. But Im not feeding him too much yet though.

ACF and geronimo, thought at 1st you 2 was one person talking to himself...lol. Had to keep looking until I saw geronimo using ACF's Avitar.lol. Btw, geronimo im glad you got your fahaka eating pellets. I will have to try to train mine.
