Depending on how heavily you're going to stock it, you need the single or double cup.
VERY reputable company.

This one looks really good too:

Or the larger version:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Eshopps-100H-Hang-G ... 854wt_1139

I might go with the last one--bigger is better!

The last one looks pretty neat, and only 20 bucks more expensive then the Seaclone, so, I might go with that.

Out of the 3 skimmers that PP listed, what would you guys recommend, which should I get? The stocking will be a 55g tank, 1 GSP, and if he accepts it, maybe a maroon clownfish or something of that sort down the road.

why not go with the larger one? as an HOB it isn't going to take up any more "tank space".

It is only $20 more then the Seaclone, I'll have to save up a bit, *the $120..* and get it somehow..

Mesh wheels is a mod we do on skimmers to make more bubbles. They must have caught on.

Hard to tell with only 3 reviews. What brand is it?

It doesn't say. And $100 for a skimmer isn't going to be possible right now. Even though $100 is a good price.

$30 for a skimmer that doesn't work is a waste. Maybe you'll get some Xmas $$$? Used ones all the time around. Both the Backpacs I have now, bought used for <$50.

And, if I do buy that, can I continue using my Aquaclear filter. Provided I add a powerhead or two, and some live rock?

I just keep LR rubble in my AC filter & use it as a mini-fuge. Adds good flow to the tank too.

If I ran standard media, etc. Would it be detrimental to the tank?
