Something in my tank..

I've found 3 or 4 of these things in my tank. They have white spots about salt grain size encapsulated in this clear gel looking stuff. The water movement causes the biggest one to sort of sway in the water but they all stick pretty securely to the gravel. What is this and should I vacuum it out asap? The only thing I've ever read about that was small and white like salt was ich, but that was salt grain looking spots on the fish itself, not the gravel in clumps like this. I took a couple pics, but they pretty much suck and I'll need to resize them. They'll be up in a few minutes.

Snail eggs?

These were in the puffer tank and snails very rarely even make it to the gravel before they're eaten. There were a couple snails in there with those minnows before I transferred the puffers, but they were eaten immediately. I suppose they could've laid the eggs before they were eaten.

I had two ghost shrimp that survived in there about 24 hours before they were eaten also.

Guess I'll move the egg looking things into that 5 gallon Fluval with the handful of snails that are in there and see what happens.

Ya looks like the snail eggs that I have in all my tanks. One may have slipped by your puffers and hid long enough to drop eggs
