blue in my tank?

I've noticed that the once clear tubing for my airstone is now a crazy aqua blue color. It seems that the sealants and maybe even the glass have a blue tint to them too now? It might not be on the glass.. maybe it's just a reflection of other things that have turned blue in the tank. I don't understand what could cause this? My fish seem to have really perked up recently, in spite of the odd coloring.

What meds have you used in there?

Sera Med Protazol was in there about two days ago. 24 hours after I dose it, I did an 80+% water change.

What were you using it for? Contains Malachite Green, which permanently stains everything. This is why you should alway medicate in QT. Could possibly affect your biological bed & many meds are toxic to puffers.

I'm okay with the color, it just seemed weird is all.

I was treating for parasites and the dark puffer I posted about in the hospital forum has gone from refusing to eat, concave, black top and dark grey bottom to happily swimming the tank with the other two. He has a full, fat belly after today's feeding and is a lot lighter in color from top to bottom. Before, he was spending 95% of his time laying on the gravel and when he would swim, he'd bump into things as if he couldn't see. When you would watch him, it was very easy to notice that his eyes weren't moving around the way the others' were while looking at things. He had a completely blank stare. Now his eyes move all around like before and there's no doubt that he's seeing things. I found him stuck to the bottom of the Fluval chi filter one day and was so sure he was dead.. there was no movement at all. Went to get him with the net and he swam off, but it just goes to show how weak and close to death he was. He's so much better now after that Protazol. I guess I got lucky with it.. I was extremely careful with measuring the dosage.
