I remember a S&S puffer named Elvis doing this. He did it because of a Fahaka i a tank beside him. The owner had to put up a divider, so Elvis couldn't see Annabelle (the Fahaka), to stop him from doing it (the carpet got wet!). I wonder where Elvis' owner has gone to. It's been a long, long time since she dropped in here at TPF.

Kaya does the same. She likes to take long hard swims from one side of the tank to the other. She does it especially when she knows she aint gonna get food from us. She Also splashes her tail then. Im glad we have glass lids on top of the tank.

Not sure if it was ment for me PP?

But we have 4 glass lids which slide on top of the tank with an extra strip on top of the glass to keep it in place. The space between the watertop and the glass lid is about 10-15 cm. Above that we have a wooden hood which is so heavy that i have trouble lifting it.

Okies!

Good advice indeed which i can only say yes too. Kaya never jumped but i can imagine if she would be in a Jewel tank, which you see a lot in my country and she would jump or make a trick like the waves, the room would be wet all over!

Samson did it all the time, I guess it's fun, kinda like when we make whirl pools in a pool? LOL! :)
