Dalmation Puffer

Post by LD50 »

So I saw a dalmation puffer at my LFS today, absalutely beautiful fish. I was wondering if this is just a color morph of a dog face or if it is a totaly diffrent species?

Probley a color phase of a dog face. Many lfs's like to have a different name for something to sale it, imo.

The dalmatian puffer or midnight puffer as some call it is a different color morph of the dog face and found only in the Solomon Island. They are a little harder to keep then your regular dog face. I have been looking for one for ages as you don't see them that often in the pet trade. You can find them almost totally black to white with black splotches. Our Puffer Queen has/had a beauty and did a lot of study on their care.
