Re: how to ship a puffer?
big bag... strong bag... tuck in the corners so it is as round as possible.
Over night is obviously the best.
There is a product I recently learned about called "bag buddies". I don't know much about it, but apparently in wide use to keep the O2 up and ammonia down.
If you have Ms-222 they use that to ship fish over seas. Can't tell you the concentration though. That is something you'll have to look into.
Also one of those pocket heaters will help but they don't last that long. Maybe they make ones that last 12+ hours now?

Here is a very good site with everything you need to ship fish. I know alot of cichlid breeders and hobbyist that order their shipping supplies from this site.

Hey, jbjack.
I think it's me that wants to buy your puffer, small world, lol
Found this intresting,
http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/tra ... _fish.html
Only problem is it's winter, and that's something we have to highly consider.
If it can make it to Vancouver I know Harbor Air http://www.harbour-air.com/, ships fish from the mainland to the island for cheap and safely I've spoke with them over the phone a few times and they deal with shipping fish quite often. But since your in Sask I don't really know the best way of going about this.

LoL, yep, I'm curious as to how fish stores get their fish safely shipped to them during the winter month, maybe someone here can fill us in on this.

jbjack, what town you in? or what's the nearest airport I'll see if I can find us a way to ship airport to airport, since it's probably the best way to go about it.
