snowflake fugu

I just left my LFS and they had a fish labeled as a snowflake fugu. It was the same body shape as a fugu, but its whole back was white with a few gray flakes.
Anyone seen one of these before or know anything about them?

My LFS has these in their stock list. I was wondering what the difference was myself.

there's that guy. sometimes called the snowflake fugu

others are in the photo gallery in the takifugu family.

that's what it looked liked. just got home from the french quarter...no puffers but a good time nonetheless.

that fish does fine in marine aquariums

the one that doesn't like long in the fugu family is the takifugu occelatus picture shown here

the snowflake fugu in the first pic is actually rather hardy, just not in the trade usually.
