Will GSP eat snail with size bigger then their eyes?

currently i have a handful of Ramshorn snail but their size is bigger den my GSP eyes

i placed 1 snail to test my puffer and he just nip it once and ignore it

do they only eat snails that are smaller size or i need to crash the snails before feeding them?

Often times they will eat snails larger than their eye however with larger snails they just normally bite off the easily accessible meat. By doing this they don't get the crunchy benefits of the snails.

All the puffers that I have right now will just bite part of the snail and leave the rest so I have to crush all of their snails. You get used to it quickly and the snails crush very easily.

just don't use your hands .. crush them between 2 spoons. You don't want to get a shard of snail shell in your finger

Ewwww. Or you could use pliers. We have a special pair for crushing snails.
