new skimmer hard time tuning in

hello i just purchased a aquaticlife mini skimmer 115 for my 40g gsp tank.the user instructions were really vague about setup.i read alot of the reviews of the product and for the most part they were positive,its going tobe about a week-2week brake in,does this sound right?my questions is about the micro bubbles that are leaking by are they harmful or just an eye sore?

What's the SG? Personally, I would have gotten a Backpac--the one you got is only rated for a 30g.

OK, I'm moving this to Marine Tanks then. Any way you could return that & get a more appropriate skimmer? Plenty of used ones at Reef Central.
