Substrate for Abei

I'm curious, what colour and type of substrate do you have your Abei on? From the pictures that I have seen, when they are on dark substrates it gives them a much darker colour versus when they are on lighter substrates.

all puffers are that way. Its a camo thing. If you want your abei to be darker then get a darker substrate and obviously a lighter substrate if you want a lighter color. But get sand cause most puffers like to burrow every now and then

The type of flourescent tube can also make a difference to the coloration on them.

My Abei never buried, I had him on sand but I think he would have been perfectly fine on gravel as well.
